About the candidates
- Participants must be a member of the RWSN Young Professionals group (open to all under the age of 35 – you can sign up here if you are not a member yet).
- Participants must be between the age of 18 and 35 as of 1 September 2019.
- Participants must have a strong command of English (oral and written), as Stockholm World Water Week is in English only. This will be tested through a phone call with the selected top candidate.
- Priority will be given to participants who can demonstrate involvement in water issues at the local level (in their country, region, community…) through their work, studies, or volunteering.
- Priority will be given to participants who can demonstrate that they have communicated about water issues in the past, by sharing examples of their online communications about water (blogs, videos, articles, tweets or posts on their own social media accounts…)
- Priority will be given to participants based in low- or middle-income countries.
Technical specifications for communications materials
Communications content must not contain violence, profanity, sex or direct attacks on individuals or organisations. Any entries deemed offensive will be immediately disqualified. All content must be an original creation - no copyrighted images may be used. The participant must certify and warrant that the submitted material(s) does not violate the rights of a third party or any copyright. RWSN is not responsible for intellectual property violations that might have resulted through the submissions of photos.
EU General Data Protection Regulation
The submitted content must adhere to the GDPR.
Selection process and notification of award winner
Any attempt by a participant to influence the result of the contest will lead to immediate disqualification. Nominees will be notified by email. If an entrant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, RWSN reserves the right to offer the prize to the next best entry.
General
RWSN reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest or any of the arrangements, schedules, plans or other items directly or indirectly related to the contest, at any time and for any reason it deems necessary. The personal information provided to RWSN by the participants shall only be used for the purposes of this contest. All participants are entitled to access, cancel, oppose and rectify the details about the personal data contained in the file by sending their request by email to
