Health and Water Foundation (HWF) is a Kenyan not-for-profit foundation established on 17th of July 2003 with the aim of promoting poverty alleviation and sustainable development through provision of clean water and sanitation facilities resulting to improved health among the rural and urban poor. The Health and Water Foundation’s approach is through directly managed field projects and supporting (and building capacity of) community-based organizations (CBOs) so as to strengthen their participation in resolving issues that affects their lives. The HWF uses Water and Environmental Sanitation (WES) as a vehicle to rally communities to address wider community issues that are related to poverty.
