There are many reasons why you should join the RWSN network?
More than 12,000 rural water professionals and 90 organisations worldwide are members of the Rural Water Supply Network. Join us now to build a world in which all rural people have access to sustainable and reliable water supplies. We interact 24/7 on global discussion forums in English, French, and Spanish.
1. Join as an individual member
Individual membership is free and open to all, but your support is needed to help us continue to provide and expand our services. If you find the network useful, please consider giving a small, regular contribution to help us reach more people.
All contributions go through Skat Foundation, a non-profit foundation based in Switzerland, and 100% will be used for RWSN activities, which we report on annually and transparently. People who make personal donations (of any amount) may choose to (a) have their names included in our public financial report or (b) remain anonymous.
Benefits of individual membership
Your details will not be passed on or shared or sold to third parties. You can find details of our » Privacy Policy here.
2. Join as a member organisation
More than 90 organisations worldwide are members of the Rural Water Supply Network. Being a Member Organisation of RWSN is a commitment to sharing knowledge and good practices, and to uphold the statements set out in the RWSN Vision and 2011 Kampala Commitments.

Who can become a RWSN Member Organisation?
An organisation should fulfil the following criteria to become a Member Organisation:
If you do not meet these requirements then the individual membership is probably more suitable.
Conditions and cost of membership
RWSN does not set a mandatory membership fee; rather we invite each member organisation to give within their own capacity, as they consider what is possible each year. The table below reflects a guideline that we have developed to guide membership contributions.
Membership is renewable annually and based on the calendar year. Please consider contributing directly via the online payment form below; alternatively please contact the RWSN Secretariat (info[at]rural-water-supply.net) if you need different payment arrangements.
We are grateful to our main funder the Swiss Development Cooperation and the other organisations who have provided financial support to the RWSN Secretariat in 2020: WaterAid, Skat Consulting Ltd., UNICEF, UPGro (DFID/NERC/ESRC) and REACH (DFID/Oxford University) and the Global Aid Network.
