INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Description:
The CANZEE PUMP was developed from a pump invented in New Zealand by Owen Jones, who made a pump for a Rotary club to give to a school on the Tonga Islands to draw rain water from an underground tank. CANZEE pumps are made by SWS with his encouragement, for which we are greatly indebted.
The pump has an ingeniously simple pumping principle which has no need for close fitting piston seals - one of the main wearing parts in conventional piston pumps. Instead, the Canzee pump depends on two non-return valves, each with a circular rubber disc which can easily be cut from old tyre inner tube. In rigorous tests these have performed more than 9 million cycles without failure.
The Pump rod guide in the pump head serves as a sleeve for the stainless steel pump rod. It is made from solid polyethylene and lasts a long time before needing replacement
The pump is best suited for small communities (up to about 200 people) who need to lift water from shallow wells or boreholes.
