In 2021, RWSN undertook a Roadmap exercise to plan the way ahead for the network for the next 5-10 years. In 2022, this was followed up with a more detailed governance review and to support that, expert input was sought on three key areas:

1. RWSN Governance, Roles and Responsibilities
2. Regional hubs - learning from other networks
3. Online community platform
