Nile Sustainable Development Organization (NSDO) is a national Christian based, non- governmental, non-profit making and non-political humanitarian relief and development organization.
NSDO was formed and registered as a national NGO in June 2016 to address the needs of the community by alleviating poverty especially among vulnerable women and girls in the country. The organization envisions a peaceful community where men, women and youth live a life of dignity with sustainable livelihoods, reduced dependency on single source of incomes and reduced dependency ratios or syndromes.
NSDO originated from a group of young development minded south Sudanese with vast INGO experience and thus encouraged themselves to start their own National NGOs to strengthen the national capacities of South Sudanese. They are considered to be of great importance for the coming years as the Republic of South Sudan (RoSS) aims at building national capacity at different levels to avoid dependency on International NGOs. NSDO will always strive at working closely with concerned line ministries in project locations and at the head office level.

NSDO has a head office in Juba and field operations in Mundri, Maridi, Yambio, Kajo Keji, Aweil and Terekeka. The first project intervention was a relief operation in response to the humanitarian crisis resulting from the July 8-11, 2016 conflict in the Country.
